The Maritime Practice Group –which is in charge of this area- is dedicated to the handling of matters related to all types of vessels and naval artifacts, as well as their owners, charterers, operators, crew members, shippers, hull & machinery insurers and P&I clubs, and in general all facets in a maritime venture. GRA has handled all type of maritime matters in the last 70 years. The formation of the Maritime Practice Group aims to concentrate the practice of the whole firm in one specialized group, assisted by its other departments.

The range of services extends from the negotiation of charterparties, to the financing and registration of vessels, the execution of maritime mortgages, legal assistance for maritime accidents and salvage operations, disputes concerning maritime and multimodal transportation, maritime insurance litigation and maritime arbitration among many others.

Due to the importance of Mexican off-shore activities, the Maritime Practice Group also has the mission to provide complete assistance to the marine contractors of PEMEX, the state owned oil company of Mexico, concerning contracts related to vessels, naval artifacts and oil rigs that are used in operations related with the exploration and exploitation of oil.
