Mexico's immigration laws can sometimes create difficulties for businesses requiring the presence of foreign nationals in Mexico to manage or oversee corporate operations or investments. Similarly, foreign members of boards of directors of Mexican companies require appropriate visas to attend meetings. For a long time our immigration group has worked with the Immigration Division of the Secretaria de Gobernación and, in fact, has helped draft immigration laws. This relationship allows us to help our foreign clients obtain and maintain proper immigration documentation.
